To better understand patterns of noncustodial parent(NCP)payment compliance, this study builds on what has already been documented about the Maryland public child support caseload and provides a first-ever, systematic look at the question of who pays current support, how much they pay, and how this relates to NCPs’ demographic characteristics, employment patterns, and earnings levels.
