2Gen Procedures Integrating a two-Generation Approach to Child Support Services Colorado’s Service Level Approach
In 2013, Child Support Services Division (CSS) of the Colorado Department of Human Services began an agency shift its philosophy of providing services. CSS wanted to provide services in a way that would benefit the entire family. CSS started a pilot project to implement the two-generational approach (2Gen). This document shares information on how to implement 2Gen approaches at three different levels: integrated 2Gen services, coordinated 2Gen services, and emerging 2Gen services. Attached to the report is the Family Resource Assessment that was developed to identify barriers to child support payment.
