In re Support of Morgan (Kansas 1997)

Kansas requires a parent to repay all assistance provided on the child’s behalf, not some portion of that assistance determined by the district court. The statutory language clearly and unambiguously establishes parental liability for any assistance paid. The statute does not limit liability to those amounts determined by the district court or make liability discretionary with the district court.
