New Contracts

After a competitive public procurement process, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Support Services (CSS) awarded a second consecutive contract to YoungWilliams to operate a child support office in the City of McAlester.  The office provides child support services for nearly 4,000 cases in Pittsburg and Haskell Counties. YoungWilliams has operated this project since 2011, and has held contracts since 2008 for a similar project in Durant, Oklahoma, serving Bryan, Atoka, and Coal Counties.

YoungWilliams’ responsibilities in Oklahoma include helping parents establish paternity for children born out of wedlock, establishing and modifying orders to pay child support, and enforcing these orders.  The company also participates in the State’s Court Liaison Program, which helps non-custodial parents connect to community programs that can provide life and work skills.

Brenda Kimery, YoungWilliams’ Oklahoma Project Manager and Managing Attorney, oversees both the Durant and McAlester offices.  Kimery has over 13 years’ child support experience, and  has served on numerous DHS CSS committees.  She holds a juris doctor with honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law and a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Tulsa.

YoungWilliams operates 38 full service child support projects in 8 states covering 309,000 cases and generating annual collections of $533 million for the families it serves.  It also has centralized call centers and other specialized projects in 3 additional states.
