New Contracts

The State of Mississippi has selected YoungWilliams to provide services for 30,000 child support cases in 13 counties, and implement a statewide customer service call center. The contract, with renewals, is for four years.

The statewide customer service center, located in Yazoo City, Mississippi, will respond to an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 incoming calls per month from child support customers around the state.  The center will utilize state-of-the art technology and best practices from YoungWilliams’ award-winning customer service projects in other states.

This contract will create over 200 new jobs for attorneys, caseworkers and call center personnel. YoungWilliams is collaborating with the law schools at the University of Mississippi and Mississippi College to recruit recent graduates and attorneys.

“To say that we are thrilled about partnering with our home state on this important project is an understatement,” Wells commented. “It is a great honor to work alongside the dedicated professionals in the Mississippi child support program.  Our coordinated efforts will improve services to families; achieve better outcomes for children; add jobs; bring federal dollars to the State; and help stimulate our economy.”

Operations are scheduled to begin on October 1, 2009.
